Following the release of their impressive EP, PLAYTEST, earlier this year, Feral Family have become one of our favourite bands. Their sound is dark and brooding, with gothic undertones playing an important part in their ferocious take on post-punk. The EP’s standout track, ‘Fractured’, channels “the complicated relationship of having a double-life paraded right in front of your eyes, understanding its insidiousness but ultimately fearing the fire of confrontation.” Over the course of the year, they’ve also received their fair share of accolades. These range from being directly compared to Foals, receiving coverage in The Independent, and becoming one of the UK’s most important live bands. Feral Family are heading into 2024 with purpose, as their debut album, Without Motion, drops on January 19th, 2024 and their notorious live show hits the road in February. -Dan Peeke
